Global sales of Nissan go down by 21.4 percent

The global sales of Nissan on a year-on-year basis fell by 21.4 percent last month along with the decline of demand for new cars. Nissan succeeded in selling 259,169 vehicles around the world last month. Markets that showed particularly poor performance are Europe and the US, where sales fell by 29.8 percent and 33.1 percent, correspondingly.

Production around the world for May also fell by 27 percent to 201,340 vehicles only. Production in the UK came out a little better with a fall of only 19.9 percent to 26,221 vehicles. The only region that demonstrated an increase on a year-on-year for both production and sales is China. Nissan sales in China went up by 20.5 percent to 57,949 vehicles and production which went up 56.8 percent to 40,340 vehicles.[source:4wheelsnews.com]
